Led by Angela Castagnola, Creator’s Quest: A Mixed Media Adventure is a workshop series designed for adults aged 18 and up to explore their creative voices through experimentation with various artistic techniques. Participants will learn to transform ideas into visual art using paint, collage, and other media while developing a cohesive collection of approximately ten pieces. The series focuses on the fundamental building blocks of art, such as color and texture, and concludes with a celebratory group show to share the completed work. The workshop meets every Tuesday from May 5 through May 26, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and requires registration by May 3. Students are responsible for bringing their own materials, including a variety of paintbrushes, a mixing palette, acrylic paints, glue, and canvases. The Foster Gallery was established by the CAA in 2016 to honor founder, artist, and educator Susan Foster. It has served as a platform for showcasing local and regional artists and has evolved into a Visual Arts Outreach Program that brings art into public and community-centered spaces throughout Walton County. Through this outreach model, artists gain increased visibility and opportunities to exhibit and sell their work while connecting with broader and more diverse audiences beyond a single gallery location. This special exhibit at ECTC continues that mission by pairing visual art with live performance and inviting artists to be part of a unique, cross-disciplinary collaboration. He is currently working on an album of original music that showcases his energetic and unique blend of classic and modern sounds.
