Generous! Although it might not be your first thought about Inlet Beach, this spot just doesn’t quit. Wide, uncrowded, and absolutely gorgeous, it’s home to 30A’s biggest beach access. The nearby coastal dune lake? Also 30A’s largest. And let’s not forget Camp Helen State Park, with its hikable trails through the dunes, and rich Old-Florida history. Talk about a trip back in time!

But her generosity doesn’t end there. Less than a mile offshore, an artificial reef awaits. Just line up the two yellow poles on the beach, and they’ll point you right to it. Paddleboarders can glide out with ease, just don’t forget your mask and snorkel.

But wait… there’s more! (at Inlet Beach, there’s always more.) Stroll through 30Avenue, where good food, great shops, and green spaces keep the vibe going long after the sun sets. Inlet Beach just keeps on giving, on land and sea.

A special location on the far east end of 30A, Inlet Beach is where off-the-radar meets totally unforgettable. Rosemary Beach borders one side, while Lake Powell and Camp Helen State Park define the other. Dare we call it a hidden gem? Sure, if the flip-flop fits, why not?

$50 FOR BEACHFRONT?

After World War II, the U.S. government had an incredible offer for veterans in Inlet Beach: Beachfront property for $50! (Yep, where’s that time machine when you need it?) If they built a small house, soldiers could snag 1.25 acres of prime beach real estate. This wave of veterans and their families led to the area being affectionately dubbed “Soldiers Beach” or “Veterans Beach.” Cool!

UNDER THE RADAR. OVER THE MOON.

Even with a bit of new energy, Inlet Beach still holds onto its chill, under-the-radar vibe, and remains one of the quieter spots on 30A. The stunning seascapes and uncrowded shores are so very dreamy, with that timeless Old-Florida charm, the kind of place where “vibey” isn’t just a word. It’s a way of life.

Pristine, expansive beaches, towering dunes, a rare coastal dune lake, and an artificial reef. Phew! Inlet Beach is a nature lover’s dream, all right, but don’t take our word for it (actually, scratch that. do take our word for it!). Southern Living and Travel + Leisure have highlighted the wonder of our little section of the Panhandle, naming Inlet Beach among the top “beaches that look like the Caribbean”. Yowza!
