About Inlet Beach

Generous! Although it might not be your first thought about Inlet Beach, this spot doesn’t mess around. It’s home to South Walton’s largest regional beach access, plus Lake Powell, Florida’s largest coastal dune lake. Nearby Camp Helen State Park adds hiking trails, coastal scenery, and Old Florida history. Beach, reef, lake, trails, history? Generous indeed.

BECOME AN EAST-ENDER.

At the eastern end of 30A, Inlet Beach sits between Rosemary Beach, Lake Powell, and Camp Helen State Park. Stroll through 30Avenue, where good food, great shops, and green spaces keep the vibe going long after the sun sets.

JUST UNDER THE SURFACE

Grouper Reef is an artificial grouper-shaped reef about 970 feet offshore. Depending on conditions and paddling ability, explore it by paddleboard or kayak. Just line up the two yellow poles on the beach, and they’ll point you right to it. Why bring the mask and snorkel? Underwater, there is no beaten path.

Even with some new energy, Inlet Beach still holds onto its relaxed, Old Florida character. Long stretches of sand, dreamy seascapes, and plenty of reasons to slow down. “Vibey” isn’t just a word here.

A LITTLE LAND FOR $50?

After World War II, veterans could enter a lottery for 1.25-acre parcels for just $50, with one catch: they had to build a small house. Those veterans and their families helped shape the community, once known as “Soldiers Beach” or “Veterans Beach.” Not a bad investment.
