Miramar Beach Vacation Rentals
STAY IN Miramar Beach
ABOUT MIRAMAR BEACH
You’re going to need a longer vacation! Sure, we’ve got white sand and emerald waters – it’s why we’re here – the issue is, there’s just too much going on! Perfect, you say? Great. Then let’s just hit the highlights so you can start planning a great, little (big, actually) getaway for your entire crew.
Put that beach towel on hold, and bask in the glory of non-stop adventure. Parasail with the gulls, snorkel at Dolphin Reef, or challenge your crew to beach volleyball. And that’s just day one! With world-class golf, luxury shopping at the outlets, a marlin fishing contest, and wine festivals, Miramar Beach puts a new twist on the picture-perfect 30A vacation.
GO WEST!
West side, baby! Miramar Beach is close enough to Destin for a quick trip, but far enough to keep things chill, while still providing plenty of non-stop action. It’s a great place to launch into shopping sprees at Silver Sands Premium Outlets or catching the buzz at Grand Boulevard.
NEW NAME, NEW DIRECTION
Before Miramar Beach, there was Shoals, Florida, a name even history buffs have forgotten! When the area was officially “renamed” on May 26, 1955, it had fewer than 200 residents. The first mayor chose “Miramar,” which translates to “Look at the Sea” in Spanish. Seems pretty fitting, right?
ARE YA FEELIN’ IT?
Easygoing, exciting, gorgeous. Miramar Beach has it all. Families dig the safe, welcoming feel, while luxury lovers love the stylish beachy homes and upscale dining. During peak season, the energy kicks up, so you and your crew can enjoy peaceful beach days and lively nights.
DOLPHINS & DUNE LAKES, OH MY!
Yowza! Miramar Beach is an absolute stunner. Soft, white sands and emerald waters give you a front-row seat to… a dolphin sighting? Magical! These magnificent creatures often make an appearance just off the shore. Now go wander! Topsail Hill Preserve State Park is home to several dune lakes(!) with miles of dunes and ancient forests.

The Market Shops will host its 10th Annual Bloody Mary Festival on Saturday, October 11, benefiting Habitat for Humanity – Walton County. This decade-long event, powered by Step One Automotive Group, will offer unlimited tastes of South Walton’s most creative bloody marys, made with Distillery 98’s Half Shell Vodka, and served by the area’s best eateries, bars, catering companies, and, new this year, a grocery store.
Guests are invited to the shopping center from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to sample 18 of the area’s most sought-after bloody marys, each served in specialty cups from Compass Builders of Florida. Participants confirmed to compete for the 2025 “Best Bloody Mary” title include Aja 30A, Bayside Cafe, Big Bad Breakfast, Cafe Nola, Cajun Corner, Cantina Laredo, Down Island Gulf Seafood Restaurant, Island Wing Company, Jackacuda’s Seafood & Sushi, Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa, Louis Louis, Ovide, Ruby Slipper Cafe, Sandos, Signature Catering 30A, The Gulf Club, The Perfect Pig, The Red Bar, and Winn Dixie.
Bob Duncan, managing partner of The Market Shops, remarked on the festival’s growth over the past ten years. He noted that what began as a fun gathering has evolved into a signature event, attracting both residents and visitors, while significantly impacting the community through Habitat for Humanity. He expressed honor in hosting the event for a decade and anticipated this year’s festival to be the best yet.
Bloody Mary participants will vie for the first-, second-, and third-place People’s Choice Awards, selected by guests, with votes tallied by Hill Coleman, CPA. A panel of local celebrities will also judge each bloody mary to determine winners for the “Judge’s Choice” award for most delicious, and the “Best Bloody Accoutrement” award for most creative. Awards will be handcrafted by local artist Maxine Orange.
In addition to numerous bloody marys, the festival will feature ample food from various restaurants within The Market Shops, including Ben and Jerry’s, Hunter’s Chicken and Burgers, Jon Smith Subs, Maple Street Biscuit Company, Parlor Doughnuts, Pizza by the Sea, and Tuscany Italian Bistro. Vendors such as Edward Jones, Favori Boutique, Fit2Run, Foil + Pin Parlor, Naples Soap Company, and Sun, Surf, Sand Insurance will also be present.

Good Clean Wine rosé and sparkling wine will be available at the Bubbly Bar, courtesy of Courtyard by Marriott Sandestin at Grand Boulevard, Residence Inn by Marriott Sandestin at Grand Boulevard, and the Hyatt Place by Marriott Sandestin at Grand Boulevard. Ascension Sacred Heart Emerald Coast will also provide a mocktail for guests.
Jake’s Beach Service will furnish the main lawn lounge with extra seating for attendees to relax and enjoy country music by Saltwater Revival, headlining the main stage courtesy of Action Audio Video. Various SEC football games will be live-streamed on a big screen, while DJ Dad will provide music in the courtyard, sponsored by Esteem Wealth Partners. Guests can capture memories in the interactive photobooth, courtesy of Legendary Marine, and then choose a cigar from Shore Thing Cigars. Hawley Hat Bar will also offer custom trucker hats with unique patches, including a complimentary bloody mary patch for the festival’s 10th anniversary.
Over the past nine years, the annual event has raised over $199,000 for local charities. Funds from the tenth annual event will support Habitat for Humanity – Walton County, a local nonprofit dedicated to building and improving homes for individuals and families in need of decent, affordable housing.
Teresa Jones, CEO of Habitat for Humanity of Walton County, FL., Inc., expressed deep honor in being the beneficiary of this year’s Bloody Mary Festival. She stated that The Market Shops and the community that attends the event help realize homeownership for hardworking families in Walton County, noting that every ticket purchased and sip enjoyed directly supports building safe, decent, and affordable homes for neighbors. She concluded that together, they are raising walls and hope for families who need it most.
Tickets are available for a pre-sale price of $60 through Eventbrite, or for $75 at the door on the day of the event. Special room rates are available for out-of-town guests through the festival’s official lodging sponsor, the Courtyard by Marriott Sandestin at Grand Boulevard.
