For 2027, the festival has confirmed that the Friday kickoff headline performances will take place at the SEASIDE® Amphitheater, with Dawes, S.G. Goodman, and Paul McDonald & The Mourning Doves. The festival runs January 15–18, 2027, with 30 venues, 160+ songwriters, and 300+ performances spread across South Walton.
That means Seaside is not just a pretty place to stay during festival weekend. For guests prioritizing Friday’s program and the Seaside venue cluster, it can also be a very practical one.
You’re staying where part of the festival actually happens
The biggest reason to consider Seaside is simple: you are already in one of the festival’s main communities.
The festival’s current venue directory includes several Seaside locations, including:

- Bud & Alley’s
- Central Square Records
- Pickle’s
The full 2027 artist-by-venue schedule has not yet been released, so we would not assume exactly which artists will appear at each smaller venue. But the geography is already clear.
If Seaside shows are high on your list, staying in Seaside can mean less time driving into the community and more time actually enjoying the weekend.
Seaside was built to be walkable
Seaside is known for its compact, walkable design. Oversee describes the community as a place where dining, shopping, cafés, local businesses, and the beach are clustered within an easy-to-explore town center.
