In the vibrant world of 30A, where securing a rooftop table at Pescado can be as challenging as finding a convenient grocery store, well, challenge accepted.
If you’re planning a quick meal in your stunning Oversee vacation home, or a sunrise breakfast on a paddleboard, you’ll need grocery options that promise convenience, and enough fresh eggs and bacon to inspire one simple proclamation:
30A has grocery stores!
MARKET 30A
For those who need everything, Market 30A is the go-to upscale grocery market. Located at The Crossings (next to the Donut Hole and across from Shades), this neighborhood headquarters offers fresh gulf seafood, prime meats, fine wines, craft beers, spirits, gourmet cheeses, deli salads, prepared foods, and more. Open daily from 9 am to 6 pm, with the steamer closing at 5:30 pm.
PUBLIX
No need to fret – there are two Publix Super Markets on 30A. One is at WaterColor Crossings while the other is at Watersound Town Center. This chain is a favorite among locals and visitors, as it embodies a culture of Southern hospitality, respect, and quality customer service. Of course, it also provides a great selection of groceries, as well.
Avoid the hassle of traffic. And long lines at the grocery store. Send us your grocery list, and just relax we’ll take care of the rest. Local and family-owned, Pristine is a full-service, personal shopper business, personally handling your grocery shopping and delivery needs from store to door.
MODICA MARKET
Tucked among beach shops in Seaside’s town center, Modica Market is one of the oldest standing grocers on 30A. Enjoy daily-made pastries, subs, sandwiches, and great bread, dairy, deli meat, spices, spirits, and more. They know their stuff and are always happy to answer questions. Fun fact: scenes from The Truman Show were filmed here.
SEACREST SUNDRIES MARKET & CAFE
Mom & Pop grocery and cafe. Great neighborhood hang out! Not only does Seacrest Sundries have a full line of groceries, but also beer, wine, bagged ice, beach supplies, toiletries, produce, fresh-cut deli meats, and tons more! Don’t get us going about the cafe!
Nothing fancy, Goatfeathers is just the way you want it. Black Angus beef steak, fresh fish cut from the market, and homemade sauces and soups. The only thing they won’t do is disappoint. A bona fide gem.
GRAYTON GENERAL STORE
“If you need it, they got it” seems to be the most popular opinion of store shoppers. The iconic little grocery/deli/bike and watersport venue is a very popular place for all manner of shoppers. “We open early and close late,” says store manager Sabrina Irby. “We have the usual grocery-type selections here, we’re heavy on beach stuff, beach toys, ice cream, etc, and offer a good selection of better cigars.”
FOR THE HEALTH OF IT
No need to compromise your excellent nutrition habits when you’re on vacation! Located in Blue Mountain Beach, For the Health of It specializes in healthy food options just for you. They serve certified organic produce, organic and natural groceries, vitamins and supplements, protein powder, and natural body care items.
You can’t throw an avocado without hitting a wonderful 30A Farmer’s Market around these parts. Spend a peaceful morning strolling past the many stalls, chatting with friendly farmers, local makers, and smiling bakers. The food scene here is off the hook, with the best local produce, seafood, and unique food items.
TOM THUMB
Need drinks for the beach? Or forget some grocery items? At Tom Thumb, you’ll get good snacks and good gasoline, conveniently. One morning, I bought a pair of flip-flops and a cheesy-ham-english-muffin-thingy for 6 bucks.
Both stores are right on 30A and open 24/7.
