The Witches of South Walton are preparing for their 22nd Annual Witch Ride this October. Every year, the participants decorate their bikes and ride through their communities, dressed in impressive witch costumes. The Witches of South Walton Founders Ride will begin at Gulf Place on Friday, October 31st, between 6:45 AM and 7:15 AM. The Witches will once again support the Children’s Volunteer Health Network (CVHN) through their ride. Riders are requested to assemble on Laura Hamilton Blvd behind the Amphitheater stage at Gulf Place by 6:30 AM. The ride is scheduled to start between 6:45 AM and 7:15 AM. Following the ride, participants can enjoy a brunch, raffle, and other festivities at Shelby’s Beach Bar. Awards will be presented for the Most Witchy Outfit and Best Broom Decor, and the witches will showcase their cackles. Detailed information regarding all rides, including launch times, locations, routes, and pre- and post-ride events, is available on the Witches of South Walton's website. Participants are encouraged to support CVHN, ensure their bikes are tuned and decorated, wear their witchiest costumes, and join the Witches of South Walton for a spirited event. The annual Apalachicola Florida Seafood Festival is held each fall in downtown Apalachicola, attracting over 10,000 attendees during the two-day event. The festival takes place at the mouth of the Apalachicola river under the shady oaks of Apalachicola’s Battery Park on October 31st and November 1st. The event schedule is yet to be announced. The festival features delicious seafood, arts and crafts exhibits, seafood-related events, and musical entertainment. Notable events include an Oyster Eating and Oyster Shucking contest, Blue Crab Races, a Photo Contest, a Parade, a 5k Redfish Run, The Blessing of the Fleet, a History of the Festival Exhibit, and Tonging For Treasure.

An E-Sports (Electronic) League for tweens and teens takes place on Fridays from 3:30 to 4:30, featuring Smash Brothers. Farm & Fire is hosting "A Night to Die For," a haunted Prohibition-themed Halloween party. The event will feature 1920s-style cocktails with a spooky flair. Staff members will be dressed as Prohibition ghosts and zombies, and guests are encouraged to join in the fun. Menu specials include Boo-garita Pizza, a ghostly spin on Margherita Pizza by Chef Mike, and Scary Keri's Spooky Treat, a rice crispy sushi dessert. The establishment will be open until midnight.

Seaside is the perfect place for Halloween. The annual Trick-or-Treat event, held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, invites participants to follow the Yellow Brick Road through Central Square. This year, the event has a charming Wizard of Oz theme. Attendees can stroll through town, collect treats from Seaside’s merchants, meet beloved characters, and enjoy the seasonal sights, sounds, and sweetness. At 7:00 PM, a special outdoor screening of The Wizard of Oz will take place on the lawn. Costumes are encouraged for all ages.

An entertaining stroll through Grand Boulevard for Trick-or-Treating with local merchants is offered. This event is free and open to the public.

The schedule of events includes a Trick-or-Treat Trail from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. During this time, participants can stroll through The Big Chill and The Shops, collecting candy from participating vendors. It is recommended that attendees bring their own trick-or-treat bags or baskets. Following the trick-or-treating, a DJ Dance Party will take place from 6:00 PM to 9:30 PM. DJ Dan Davis will be spinning favorite hits on stage, and costumes are encouraged for all ages. The Village of Baytowne Wharf invites all ghouls, ghosts, and goblins to a spectacular Halloween event. Participants can trick or treat along the village streets, visiting various merchants for their favorite treats. The evening will feature thrilling music performances on the main stage, culminating in a spooky fireworks display to conclude the night.

October at Papa Surf is packed with events. From Sunday Strings with Black Creek String Band to weekly trivia and karaoke nights, and performances by Dion Jones, Papa Surf offers live music, laughs, and good times throughout the month. Additionally, Happy Hour is available every weekday to maintain a lively atmosphere. Every Friday and Monday at sunset, the beach bar hosts a free bonfire. There is no entrance fee and resort parking is free. Chairs are provided, and everyone is welcome. Spooky SZN is here, and Fright Night at Shades, sponsored by Jack Daniels, is scheduled for Friday, October 31st. Attendees should start brainstorming costume contest ideas, as the prizes are for the scariest, funniest, and couples categories, with an overall best prize for category winners.

The play centers on Amanda Wingfield, a former Southern belle who yearns for a better future for her children, Tom and Laura, despite being caught between dreams and reality. Tom is eager for freedom, while Laura is shy but desires connection. Their lives are disrupted by the arrival of a "gentleman caller." Nathanael Fisher, ECTC's Producing Artistic Director, notes that the play's enduring appeal lies in its exploration of family, memory, and dreams, themes that remain relevant today. It's that time of year, spooky season is among us. Join for the 4th annual Halloween Bash at Down Island on Friday, October 31st. The Killer Robot Army plans to take down the house.

Hotel guests are invited to start their Saturday and Sunday mornings with a complimentary Pilates-barre fusion class on the rooftop by the pool. From 8–9 a.m., certified instructor Riann leads a mindful flow of breathwork, assisted stretching, and functional movement. This all-levels class is designed to strengthen, balance, and uplift, leaving participants feeling centered, empowered, and refreshed.

On Saturdays throughout the year, from 9 AM to 1 PM, an outdoor market showcases a variety of unique vendors primarily offering locally sourced food items. These include fresh produce, eggs, milk, butter, grass-fed beef, chicken, local honey, pickled vegetables, and gourmet jams. Additionally, prepared foods such as tomato pies, hummus, pasta, tuna dip, and crab cakes are available for purchase. The market also features vendors selling soap and lotions. This event, known as the Grand Boulevard Farmers’ Market, is held in Grand Park, situated between Cantina Laredo and Tommy Bahama. These lively gatherings are part of the Coastal Culture Calendar of Events, supported by the Grand Boulevard Arts and Entertainment Program.

Presented by Bay Breeze Patio, the 11th Annual Eggs on the Beach Cooking Competition is returning to Seascape Towne Centre in Miramar Beach on November 1st. With over 25 cook teams preparing creative bites on Big Green Eggs, tasters can enjoy unlimited samples, live music, and Angels Envy and Abita Beer samples for those 21 and older. Attendees also have a chance to win a mini-max Big Green Egg. This event raises funds for local non-profits, including Fisher House of the Emerald Coast and Food For Thought.
