This event, sponsored by the Seaside Merchants, is free and designed to entertain the whole family. The REP Theatre brings this enchanting fairy tale to life, inviting audiences into the magical world of Rumpelstiltskin. The story follows young Biddy, a humble peasant girl tasked with spinning straw into gold, despite lacking magical powers. In a desperate attempt to succeed, Biddy teams up with the mischievous Rumpelstiltskin, who offers his help in exchange for solving his riddle. The tale unfolds with adventure and humor as they strive to turn straw into gold, with the looming threat of Biddy being banished to the Deep, Dark, and Scary Forest if they fail.

One of their cherished traditions is paella night in Seaside. Guests can visit 87 Central every Tuesday and Thursday evening to enjoy Chef Joyce’s renowned paella. Orders begin at 5:30 PM, with the dish ready around 7:00 PM. Chef Joyce developed her recipe during her time in Spain and has since added a local twist. Her choice of chorizo instead of plain sausage gives the dish an extra spicy kick, making it a bold choice. The event may be canceled without notice on the event calendar, so it is advised to confirm with 87 Central to ensure paella is being served that evening.
