The January Project of the Month is Trinket Boxes. This two-hour, open studio-style class provides each participant with two pounds of clay and the freedom to pursue their own project ideas or create the featured project of the month with instructor guidance. This five-week course, led by pottery instructor Jaweria Rizvi, focuses on the foundational skills of wheel throwing. La Luna Children's Boutique is hosting a drop-in session for children aged 3 and up to create handmade Valentines for their classmates. The Annual Camellia Festival is scheduled to take place at Eden Gardens State Park. The park features 370 camellia plants, many of which were originally planted by Mrs. Lois Maxon before she donated the property to the state in 1968. Over the last 50 years, some varieties of camellias have been lost and others have been introduced. The Friends of Eden organization is hosting the event, which is free with paid park admission. The Friends of Camp Helen announced the return of the Americana Concert Series to the historic Lodge at Camp Helen State Park.
