A college football watch party is scheduled to take place all season long. Attendees are invited to watch their favorite college football teams compete head-to-head on a massive 25-ft Jumbotron. Guests can enjoy multiple restaurants and bars, ice-cold drinks, outdoor seating, and an electric atmosphere, ensuring all the big games are shown all day long. This is presented as the ideal location for supporting one's alma mater or simply enjoying rivalries, encouraging attendees to bring their groups, wear their colors, and get loud. Keisha Kelly with The Cottage in the Woods Bakery leads the four-week class, covering the basics of baking a cake, making icing, and different decoration methods. Each student receives a starter decorating kit, but they are welcome to bring any tools they already own. The class schedule is as follows: Week 1 on January 8 focuses on learning the basics, including tools, how to bake, prepare, and ice a cake, and types of frosting and coloring. Homework for Week 1 is to bake a cake, prep, and ice it for the next class. Week 2 on January 15 covers basic piping and borders, including preparing, filling, and holding a bag; simple buttercream techniques like lines, dots, rosettes, shells, stars, and ruffles; writing in cursive and print; and various borders. Students will decorate the cake they brought using the skills learned. Week 3 on January 22 focuses on buttercream flowers, including rosettes, drop flowers, daisies, and roses, and using a flower nail for roses, as well as designing a cake theme. Homework for Week 3 is to practice flowers and bake a cake or cupcakes for the final project. Week 4 on January 29 is the final project day, where students put their skills to the test on their final cake, with instructor assistance available for skills and design. The class concludes with class pictures. The classes are held on Thursdays, from January 8-29, between 5-7 pm. The cost is $55 for members and $60 for non-members, and the class is open to ages 18 and over. The sign-up deadline is Tuesday, January 6.

The Big Chill's annual holiday party will take place on December 19th from 12-4 pm. The celebration under the Pavilion will feature pictures with Santa from 12-3 pm and live music with Mat Hall from 12-4 pm. The event will also host a Holiday Market on the Lawn, which is hosted by Anchored Market Ventures, along with other pop-ups and activities.

The cost for the event is $35.00 to $40.00. Participants are invited to bring their children to decorate Christmas-themed cupcakes during this kids' class, making joyful holiday memories. Instructor Keisha Kelly will teach students the fundamentals of cake decorating. Each student will receive a 6-pack of vanilla cupcakes, which they will decorate using the provided icing, decorations, and tools, and take home. Coastal White Christmas Events will take place in Grand Park from December 18 to December 23, celebrating the season at Grand Boulevard. The event offers six days of festive, family-friendly holiday fun, including Santa’s arrival and photo opportunities by the beautifully decorated Grand Boulevard Christmas Tree (attendees should note that a photographer will not be provided). Coastal Library hosts a Tween and Teen E-Sports (Electronic) League every Friday from 3:30 to 4:30 PM, featuring the game Smash Brothers. Instructor Ashley Paul will guide students in creating their own personalized 4-inch wooden ornament using acrylic paint, paint markers, and ribbon. Students are encouraged to bring a photo of their pet, family, or other reference for their ornament. All supplies are included. The class will take place on Friday, December 19, from 5-7 pm, and is open to ages 16 and up. The cost is $40 for members and $45 for not-yet-members per ornament. Whether guests are supporting their alma mater or simply enjoying the rivalries, the venue is presented as the ideal location for college football viewing. This event is restricted to guests 21 and older and takes place every weekend at Saltwater Grill.

Fore Her Breast Cancer Support Group is a peer support group for breast cancer patients and survivors. The group meets on the third Saturday of each month from 9-11 a.m. at the Walton County Coastal Branch Library and is also offered via Zoom. The group was founded by Amy Walsh a year ago with the goal of creating an environment for women to discuss their experiences, fears, concerns, and needs while Fore Her offers resources. It is open to anyone affected by breast cancer. Walsh initially stated her desire to bring patients and survivors together to share, advise, listen, and learn about local resources for help and hope. The group continues to meet at the Coastal Branch Library in Santa Rosa Beach at 9:00 a.m. Resource pamphlets and books, including autobiographic and self-help/inspirational titles, are provided free of charge. Attendees share their stories of diagnosis and discuss various treatments such as surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, and long-term medications, fostering supportive friendships with empathy, hugs, and tears.

Though it is December, the event is held in Florida, allowing for a "fin-tastic" year-round project. Cecilia Crowson of Eclectic Stained Glass will teach participants the copper foil technique. Students will learn to cut, grind, copper foil, and solder the glass pieces. The class is limited to three people, is open to ages 18 and up, and costs $100 for members and $110 for not-yet-members, with all supplies included. Closed-toed shoes are required.
