This witty and entertaining show will be held at Surfside Music Theatre in Grayton Beach, FL, from April 23 to 26, 2025. Mean Girls JR. is a student-adapted version of the popular musical Mean Girls, which features a book by Tina Fey, lyrics by Neil Benjamin, and music by Jeff Richmond. The musical is based on Fey’s 2004 film, itself inspired by Rosalind Wiseman’s 2002 nonfiction book Queen Bees and Wannabes. The Broadway production, which opened in 2018, was produced by Lorne Michaels, Stuart Thompson, and Sonia Friedman, and received 12 Tony Award nominations. The Broadway run concluded on March 11, 2020, due to COVID-19. Mean Girls JR. is presented through a special arrangement with Music Theatre International.
Auditions will take place from January 29 to February 10, 2025, either by appointment or through virtual submission. The auditions are open to male and female actors aged 10-19.
