Planning a 30A vacation? Worried about where to stock up the fridge?
Fear not! Every beach town from Miramar Beach to Panama City Beach has convenient options for groceries, snacks, and local treats.
In true 30A style (casual and a little playful), here’s an area-by-area outline of grocery stores, markets, and services to keep your vacation munchies at bay. (Yes, 30A does have grocery stores – plenty of them!)
MIRAMAR BEACH
Publix (Grand Boulevard)
A full-service supermarket just west of Miramar Beach. Great for a big grocery run – fresh produce, bakery, deli, and that famous Publix customer service (Southern hospitality in aisle 5!). Grab a Pub Sub for a beach picnic!
Winn-Dixie (Miramar Beach)
Your neighborhood grocery option right in Miramar. Offers a wide selection of staples and a good deli, convenient for stocking the condo without venturing far.
Whole Foods Market (Destin)
A short drive into Destin for organic goodies and gourmet finds. Perfect if you need specialty items or have dietary preferences – consider it a healthy vacation treat.
Grand Boulevard Farmers Market (Saturdays)
Don’t miss this weekly farmers market at Grand Blvd. Browse local vendors for farm-fresh produce, baked goods, and artisanal treats every Saturday morning – a fun way to shop like a 30A local.
Grocery Delivery
Rather hit the beach than the store? Services like Instacart and Shipt deliver from Publix and Winn-Dixie in Miramar Beach, so you can have your groceries brought right to your rental while you relax.
DUNE ALLEN BEACH
Publix (Hwy 98, Santa Rosa Beach)
The closest big grocery store, just a few minutes from Dune Allen. Ideal for stocking up at the start of your trip – you’ll find everything from fresh seafood to birthday cupcakes.
Tom Thumb Convenience Store
A 24/7 gas station market right on 30A at Dune Allen. Perfect for late-night snacks, cold drinks, bags of ice, or that emergency sunscreen. (They even carry flip-flops for that classic “oops I left mine at home” moment!)
Fresh Seafood Nearby
Craving a seafood feast? You’re just down the road from Goatfeathers Seafood Market (West) near Gulf Place – a local spot to pick up fresh shrimp, fish, and seafood to grill for dinner.
Quick Essentials
Aside from Tom Thumb, several beach shops in the area carry basics (ice, bottled water, beach snacks). You’re also a short hop from the Gulf Place farmers market on Sundays for local goodies (see Gulf Place section).
Delivery Options
Don’t want to drive? Instacart services reach Dune Allen too – order up groceries from Publix or Walmart and have them delivered to your door while you enjoy the sunset.
GULF PLACE
Gulf Place Farmers Market (Sundays)
Every Sunday morning, Gulf Place’s town green turns into a vibrant farmers market. Stroll through tents of local produce, homemade baked goods, artisanal salsas, and more. It’s a fun outing and a great way to snag fresh ingredients (and maybe a souvenir or two).
Goatfeathers Seafood Market (Gulf Place)
A 30A institution for fresh seafood. This mom-and-pop market (with a restaurant upstairs) offers fresh Gulf fish, shrimp, oysters, and even steamed-to-order seafood. Perfect for picking up today’s catch to cook at your vacation home.
Nearby Supermarkets
For a full grocery haul, head to Publix or Walmart on Hwy 98 just north of Gulf Place. Publix (at Hwy 98 & CR 393) and a Walmart Neighborhood Market are both within a 5–10-minute drive – super handy for bigger shopping trips.
Wine & Beer
Gulf Place has a bottle shop (Shunk Gulley Liquor) where you can grab wine, craft beer, and spirits to pair with your groceries. Great for stocking the bar without a separate trip.
Convenience:
If you just need a quick grab, the Dune Allen Tom Thumb (about a minute away) has you covered for snacks, drinks, and other “oops I forgot” items round the clock.
BLUE MOUNTAIN BEACH
For The Health Of It (Organic Market)
A local health food store and juice bar right on 30A in Blue Mountain Beach. They carry certified organic produce, natural groceries, vitamins/supplements, and made-to-order smoothies and juices – so you can keep your healthy habits even on vacation.
Sally’s by the Sea Store
This quirky gas station convenience store (the Blue Mountain Beach Chevron) is a beloved local secret. Stop in for gas, cold drinks, beach day supplies, and famous gas-station fried chicken that the locals rave about. It’s old-school 30A charm at its finest!
Nearest Big Grocery
The closest large supermarkets are just a short drive away. There’s a Publix on Hwy 98 (in Santa Rosa Beach) and even a Walmart a bit further – both options for when you need to do a serious restock of food, toiletries, or that extra bag of charcoal for the grill.
Sweet Treat Tip
After a grocery run, treat yourself at Blue Mountain Beach Creamery (across from For The Health Of It) – not groceries, but who can resist homemade ice cream at the beach? (Consider it a reward for checking off the shopping list!)
Delivery Available
Staying in with the family? You can always use a local concierge service or Instacart to have groceries (even those organic goodies) delivered to Blue Mountain, so you spend more time by the pool.
GRAYTON BEACH
Grayton General Store
The iconic, funky general store in the heart of Grayton Beach. This little shop proudly lives by the motto “if you need it, they’ve got it.” You’ll find groceries, snacks, ice cream, bait and tackle, beach toys, toiletries, even a selection of fine cigars – all under one tiny roof. They open early and close late, making it the go-to for anything you forgot (or suddenly crave) while in Grayton.
Local Flavor
Grayton doesn’t have a big-chain grocery, but that’s part of its charm. Grab your basics at the General Store, and for anything else, it’s a quick drive to Publix at WaterColor Crossings (just east of Grayton) or the Walmart in Santa Rosa Beach. In other words, big stores are nearby, but you get to enjoy Grayton’s laid-back, no-big-box vibe until you need them.
Farmers Market Access
While Grayton Beach itself doesn’t host a farmers market, you’re minutes away from some great ones. The Seaside Farmers Market (Saturdays) is just down the road for organic veggies, local breads, and yummy prepared foods. And on Sunday, the Rosemary Beach market isn’t far either if you’re exploring the east end of 30A.
PRO Tip
In Grayton, it’s perfectly normal to pick up a sandwich from Grayton Corner Cafe or a pastry from a local baker instead of a grocery store lunch. Embrace the quirky local spots – you’re on vacation time here!
WATERCOLOR
Publix At Watercolor Crossings
The star of WaterColor’s grocery scene – this Publix is smack-dab in the middle of 30A, making it super convenient for WaterColor and nearby Seaside/Grayton guests. It’s got everything: fresh produce, a great deli (Pub Subs for a beach picnic, anyone?), bakery goodies, and even a decent wine selection. You’ll likely find yourself here at least once to fuel the family.
The Wine Bar & Specialty Shops
In the same WaterColor Crossings plaza, you’ll find Chan’s Wine World (The Wine Bar). It’s perfect for picking up a few bottles of vino, craft beer, or gourmet cheese and charcuterie to elevate your vacation happy hour. There’s also a Publix Liquors store adjacent for any other spirit needs.
Resort Pantry
Staying in WaterColor Resort itself? The resort has a small convenience shop for snacks and sundries by the beach club, but for any real grocery shopping, Publix is your go-to. Thankfully it’s only a minute away!
Bikes Over Car
WaterColor is super bike-friendly – you can easily bike to Publix or Seaside’s Modica Market for smaller trips. It’s a great way to make grocery runs actually fun (and you can justify an extra scoop of ice cream later).
Grocery Delivery
Want to skip shopping altogether? Pristine Grocery Delivery (a local concierge service) can handle it for you – they’ll shop, deliver, and even stock your WaterColor kitchen before you arrive. Now that’s vacation luxury!
SEASIDE
Modica Market
The famous Modica Market is Seaside’s beloved gourmet grocery store and deli. Tucked right in the town square, Modica is where you go for freshly baked pastries, delicious prepared foods, artisan cheeses, and a curated selection of groceries and wines. It’s one of the oldest grocers on 30A, and it oozes small-town charm. (Fun fact: scenes from The Truman Show were filmed at this very market!) Whether you need picnic provisions or a morning latte, Modica has you covered.
Seaside Farmers Market (Saturdays)
Every Saturday morning, Seaside hosts a lively farmers market at the Amphitheater. You can browse stands of local organic produce, farm-fresh eggs, homemade jams, baked goods, and even specialty items like goat cheese or kombucha. It’s a must-do for foodies and a great way to meet local vendors (and sample yummy treats!).
Airstream Row & Treats
While not traditional groceries, the food trucks along Airstream Row in Seaside can satisfy immediate cravings – think gourmet grilled cheese, hot dogs, smoothies, and ice cream. It’s vacation, after all! For pantry staples, stick to Modica or Publix, but for a quick meal, the Seaside food stalls are a fun option.
Nearby Publix
If you can’t find it at Modica (or need larger quantities), the Publix at WaterColor (just a couple minutes away) is your fallback for any heavy-duty grocery runs. It’s an easy drive or bike ride, so you get the best of both worlds – boutique shopping at Modica and big-store convenience at Publix.
Concierge Services
Staying in a Seaside cottage and don’t want to fight the crowds? Oversee works with services like Pristine (mentioned above) and Instacart, which can deliver groceries right to your Seaside address. Spend your time at the beach or pool, and come home to a fully stocked kitchen – it’s the ultimate Seaside life hack.
SEAGROVE BEACH
Tom Thumb
On the east end of Seagrove Beach, you’ll find another trusty Tom Thumb gas station convenience store. It’s open 24/7 and perfect for grab-and-go needs: snacks, drinks, ice, beer, coffee, and those last-minute necessities (yes, they have Advil and aloe for the “too much sun” days). It’s a lifesaver for late arrivals or early morning coffee runs.
Goatfeathers Seafood Market
A hidden gem for seafood lovers, Goatfeathers has a market location in Seagrove (in the Strip at Eastern Lake). Swing by for locally caught fish, shrimp, scallops, and more – they’ll even steam your shrimp for you on the spot. Fresh seafood at home beats any restaurant line, and you get to impress the family with your cooking!
Closest Grocery Stores
Seagrove sits between two Publix locations – Publix at WaterColor Crossings to the west and Publix at Watersound Town Center to the east (just outside Rosemary/Inlet). Both are about a 5-10-minute drive, so you have easy access to a full supermarket in either direction. Whether you’re doing a big stock-up or just need a few items, Publix is never far.
Local Markets & Cafes
Seagrove is also home to small local spots like Seagrove Village Market (a famous café that also sells sauces, spices, and some packaged foods) and Cowgirl Kitchen (deli/bakery items) where you can pick up gourmet-to-go meals or specialty food items. They add flavor (literally) to the Seagrove grocery scene – try them for a quick lunch or to grab a jar of homemade salsa.
Grocery Delivery
As with the rest of 30A, Seagrove visitors can take advantage of grocery delivery. Instacart will deliver from Publix or Winn-Dixie, and local services can do the same. If you’d rather stay on the beach until sunset, just order online and have those groceries appear on your doorstep – magic!
WATERSOUND
Publix At Watersound Town Center
A newer Publix that’s essentially “the neighborhood grocery” for Watersound and eastern 30A. It’s located at Watersound Parkway and Highway 98 (just north of the Watersound Beach gate). This store is super convenient for picking up everything from fresh fruit for breakfast to steaks for the grill. Plus, being a newer store, it’s spacious and usually well-stocked (bonus: you might spend less time in line here than some of the busier spots).
Watersound Farmers Market
Good news for farm-fresh fans – Watersound Town Center has started hosting a seasonal farmers market on the weekends (often on Sundays). It’s a smaller, relaxed market where you can find local produce, baked goods, and crafts without venturing far. Keep an eye out for signs or ask a local; it’s a great way to support regional farmers and makers.
The Big Chill (Hub) For Quick Bites
While not a grocery store, the Hub at Watersound (recently rebranded as “The Big Chill”) offers a collection of food stalls and a general store with snacks and cold drinks. If you’re staying in Watersound and want a quick meal or need to grab a bag of chips or a six-pack, this is an easy walk/bike ride option. It’s like a built-in food court for the community – super handy on lazy days.
Nearby Options
Watersound is just west of Inlet Beach, so you’re also close to the upscale Market 30A (for gourmet items) and the Publix in Inlet Beach. Similarly, if you head west a few minutes, you’ll hit Seagrove/Seaside for Modica Market or east for Carousel in PCB. In short, you’re centrally located to hop either direction for any grocery need.
Delivery & Concierge
As with all 30A areas, Watersound guests can use Instacart or concierge grocery services. Given Watersound’s quieter vibe, having groceries delivered can be a huge perk – let someone else deal with the shopping while you enjoy the pool or beach club.
SEACREST BEACH
Seacrest Sundries Market & Café
The heart of Seacrest’s village is this charming mom-and-pop grocery store (with an attached cafe). Seacrest Sundries carries a bit of everything: pantry staples, bread and milk, fresh produce, snacks, beer and wine, beach supplies, and more. It’s exactly what you need for grabbing those “forgotten” items or light groceries without driving out to a big store. Plus, they cook up a tasty breakfast and lunch – think breakfast burritos, burgers, sandwiches – so you can grocery shop and grab a meal in one stop.
Neat Bottle Shop (Alys Beach)
Just next door in Alys Beach is NEAT, a stylish bottle shop and tasting room. If you’re looking for a high-quality wine, craft spirits, or pre-mixed cocktails to elevate your vacation evenings, NEAT is the spot. They also sell some gourmet mixer ingredients and snacks. It’s a fun place to explore if you enjoy a good drink and want something beyond the usual supermarket selection.
Publix & Big Grocery Runs
Seacrest is fortunate to be close to two Publix stores – take your pick. The Watersound Publix (west on Hwy 98) or the Publix at Ocean Park (east toward Carillon Beach) are both a short drive (5-10 minutes). This is great for larger shopping trips at the beginning of your stay or for specialty items you can’t find at the smaller markets. You’re never far from a full-service grocery here.
Farmers Markets
Seacrest is walking distance to Rosemary Beach, which hosts the Sunday farmers market. This means fresh local products (think organic veggies, homemade pies, local honey) are essentially at your doorstep every weekend. Strolling the farmers market can be a delightful morning outing – coffee in one hand, shopping bag in the other, and you’re stocking up on local goodies for the week.
Convenience
In addition to Seacrest Sundries, there’s a 24-hour CVS Pharmacy at the 30Avenue shops (Inlet Beach border) about a half-mile away. CVS is handy for grabbing snacks, drinks, or pharmacy items (sunblock, meds, etc.) at any hour. Between the Sundries, CVS, and nearby gas stations, you won’t have to go far for quick needs.
ROSEMARY BEACH
Rosemary Beach Farmers Market (Sundays)
Every Sunday, the picturesque Rosemary Beach town center (North Barrett Square) transforms into a vibrant farmers market. Locals and visitors mingle among tents offering local produce, artisan cheeses, baked breads, jams, salsas, and even handmade crafts. It’s a must for Rosemary Beach guests – you can pick up organic veggies for dinner, a bouquet of fresh flowers for the kitchen, and a pastry to nibble on as you wander.
No Big-box, No Problem
Rosemary Beach doesn’t have a large grocery store within the community – and that’s by design (keeps the village charm!). But fear not: the brand-new Publix at Watersound Town Center is only about a 5-minute drive, and another Publix (Ocean Park) lies just east past Carillon. So you’re actually sandwiched between two major supermarkets for any heavy lifting grocery-wise. Most folks staying in Rosemary will do a big shop at one of those Publix stores at the start of their trip.
Seacrest Sundries & Nearby Markets
For day-to-day needs, many Rosemary visitors stroll over to Seacrest Sundries next door (literally a few minutes’ walk or bike ride). It’s perfect for grabbing a dozen eggs, a loaf of bread, or a six-pack without getting in the car. Also, the neighboring communities have little markets and shops (like the Alys Shoppe or the Wine Bar in Rosemary) where you might find gourmet items, chocolates, or specialty foods to enjoy.
Sweet Tooth Alert
While not groceries, one place worth mentioning is The Sugar Shak in Rosemary Beach. This candy and ice cream shop is a kid’s (and let’s be honest, adult’s) dream. If your grocery run ends and you still owe the kids a treat, stop by for scoop ice cream or a bag of gummy bears. It’s vacation – dessert can be an essential!
Grocery Services
Staying in a luxe Rosemary Beach cottage? Make use of grocery delivery – services like Instacart deliver from Publix, and local concierge services can pre-stock your kitchen. Imagine arriving to find your favorite snacks and cold beverages already in the fridge. That’s a Rosemary Beach welcome!
INLET BEACH
Market 30A
Inlet Beach’s crown jewel for foodies. Market 30A is an upscale specialty grocery located at The Crossings (near the Donut Hole and across from Shades). It’s the go-to spot for fresh Gulf seafood, prime meats, gourmet cheeses, fine wines, and prepared foods. If you’re looking for high-quality steaks to grill or a chef-prepared casserole to heat up for dinner, this is your place. It’s a bit of a one-stop gourmet shop, and it saves a trip into Panama City or Destin for fancy provisions.
Goatfeathers At 30avenue
A newer addition, Goatfeathers Seafood Market has a location at 30Avenue in Inlet Beach. It brings the same fresh seafood goodness closer to the east end. Stop by to pick up shrimp, oysters, snapper, or their house-made seafood dips. You can even grab a quick seafood lunch at their cafe. For seafood lovers in Inlet Beach, having Goatfeathers nearby is a huge perk.
CVS & Convenience
Inlet Beach has a large CVS Pharmacy (at 30Avenue) that’s open late and within walking distance of many rentals. CVS stocks a surprising array of convenience groceries – think chips, cereal, milk, frozen pizza, soda, etc. – along with all your beach trip essentials (sunblock, flip-flops, floats). It’s an unsung hero for quick stops when you don’t need a full supermarket.
Publix At Watersound
Technically just outside of Inlet Beach, the Publix at Watersound Town Center (Hwy 98) is essentially “the Inlet Beach Publix.” It’s where you’ll likely do your main grocery shopping if you’re staying in Inlet. It’s new, clean, and uncrowded. Pro-tip: hit Publix on your way into town, and you might not need to go back until you’re heading home.
Local Eateries & Treats
Inlet Beach also has some small eateries (like the Donut Hole for breakfast pastries and donuts, or small cafes at 30Avenue) that can supplement your grocery needs. For example, you might pick up some of Donut Hole’s famous key lime pie or donuts as “breakfast groceries” – we won’t judge! It’s all about enjoying the local flavors.
Grocery Delivery
Inlet Beach is well within range for Instacart, Shipt, and local delivery services. You can have Publix or Market 30A items delivered to your door. This is especially handy if you’re arriving late – imagine driving in and having cold drinks and snacks already waiting for you.
CARILLON BEACH
Publix At Ocean Park (Carillon Beach)
Carillon Beach has a Publix shopping center right at the community entrance on Hwy 98. This is incredibly convenient – it’s basically on-site grocery shopping for Carillon guests. This Publix carries everything: fresh produce, deli (grab a Pub Sub for a beach picnic), bakery (donuts for breakfast, check!), and all the beer, wine, and snacks you could need. Many Carillon renters make this Publix their first stop after check-in.
Carousel Supermarket
A beloved local grocery store just east of Carillon (on Front Beach Road). Carousel Supermarket has been around since 1967 and is known for its friendly service and an awesome wine cellar selection. It’s smaller than Publix but surprisingly well-stocked – you can find gourmet items, quality meats, fresh produce, and a full liquor store inside. Plus, shopping there comes with a dose of Old Florida nostalgia. If you value a local experience (or need a special bottle of wine), Carousel is a must-visit.
Beach Supplies & More
Next to Publix at Carillon is Kwiker Liquor and a few other shops – handy for picking up craft beer, extra ice, or beach gear. Also, within Carillon Beach village, there are seasonal resort shops that might sell snacks, cold drinks, and sundries to take to the beach or pool. You’re not far from what you need.
PANAMA CITY BEACH
Being on the western edge of Panama City Beach, Carillon visitors also can easily reach other stores if needed. There’s a Winn-Dixie a few miles east and a Walmart a bit further into PCB. So if you’re a comparison shopper or have a favorite chain, those are within a short drive. But with Publix and Carousel at your doorstep, you may never need to venture that far.
Seafood and Local Markets
For super-fresh seafood, you can drive a few minutes into PCB to find Buddy’s Seafood Market on Hwy 79 – they offer an array of fresh-off-the-boat seafood and even steam it for you to-go. It’s a popular stop for folks in Carillon to get the night’s dinner (think steamed shrimp, corn, and new potatoes – a DIY low country boil with zero effort).
PANAMA CITY BEACH (WEST END)
Multiple Publix Locations
The Panama City Beach area has several Publix stores for your convenience. The two most relevant for the west end are Publix at Ocean Park (Carillon, mentioned above) and Publix at Breakfast Point Marketplace (off Panama City Beach Parkway closer to the center of PCB). No matter where you’re staying along the west end, a Publix isn’t far – so you can enjoy that familiar clean, friendly grocery experience even on vacation.
Walmart Supercenter (Pier Park)
The PCB Walmart is somewhat famous among vacationers. Located near Pier Park, this massive store has it all – full grocery section (with pretty decent produce and bakery), beach toys and chairs, sunscreen, clothing, you name it. It’s often the one-stop shop for families coming to PCB. You can stock the condo’s fridge and also pick up extra beach towels or a cheap cooler. Be prepared: it can be busy, but it’s incredibly convenient and usually open 24 hours in peak season.
The Fresh Market
For a more upscale grocery experience in PCB, The Fresh Market is at Pier Park North. It’s a specialty grocery store with high-quality meats, organic produce, a great deli, and lots of prepared foods. If you’re cooking a special dinner or just prefer a gourmet market vibe (think along the lines of Whole Foods), The Fresh Market is your go-to on this end of the coast.
Buddy’s Seafood Market
A PCB legend for fresh seafood. Buddy’s Seafood Market (on Hwy 79) offers a fantastic selection of fresh Gulf shrimp, fish, crab, and more. They also have a steam bar – meaning you can buy your seafood and have them season and steam it for you on the spot. Perfect for a take-home shrimp boil or fish fry without the fuss. Locals swear by Buddy’s for quality and freshness.
Other Stores & Note
Panama City Beach has just about every grocery option you might need. Winn-Dixie, Target (with groceries), and even neighborhood markets are around. If you have a favorite brand or need something specific (like an international market or a specialty health food item), chances are you’ll find it somewhere in PCB. For example, there’s a Publix Liquor store for spirits, and health stores for supplements. But for most vacation needs, the big names above will have you covered.
Delivery & Pickup
All the big stores in PCB (Publix, Walmart, Fresh Market) offer online ordering, curbside pickup, or delivery via Instacart or their own apps. So if you’d rather avoid the crowds at Walmart or skip a supermarket trip, jump online and schedule a pickup/delivery. It’s a huge time-saver, especially on busy weekends.
GROCERY DELIVERY & CONCIERGE SERVICES (30A & BEYOND)
Pristine Grocery Delivery of 30A
This is a highly-recommended local concierge grocery service. You simply send them your shopping list (before or during your trip), and they handle the rest – shopping, delivery, and even pantry/fridge stocking at your rental home. Imagine walking into your vacation house with everything already in place, from breakfast supplies to your favorite wine chilled and ready. It’s a game-changer, and Pristine services most of the 30A area (from Miramar Beach through Inlet Beach). Perfect for start-of-trip stocking or surprise occasions.
Instacart / Shipt
These app-based delivery services cover the entire 30A corridor as well as Destin and Panama City Beach. Through Instacart or Shipt, you can order from Publix, Winn-Dixie, CVS, and even Costco or Walmart (depending on location) and get groceries delivered typically within a couple of hours. It’s super convenient if you realize you need more bottled water or forgot the coffee filters – just tap and order. Many vacationers use this to avoid the notorious Saturday crowds at the grocery stores.
The Beach Butlers & Others
There are a few other local grocery concierge companies (such as The Beach Butlers) that serve the Emerald Coast. They operate similarly to Pristine – you arrange for them to stock your kitchen before you arrive or during your stay. Oversee’s team can help coordinate these services or provide recommendations if needed. It’s part of that 30A hospitality to make your vacation as stress-free as possible.
Prepared Meal Delivery
Worth noting, some services and local restaurants will deliver prepared meals (or even set up a low-country boil at your rental). While not traditional grocery shopping, it’s an option if you want the food without any cooking or shopping. Ask about catering or meal delivery if you’re interested in a special family dinner without heading out to a restaurant.
Vacation Pro Tip
Whether you choose to shop in person or get delivery, try to plan your grocery needs early. The stores can get busy at peak times (hello, Saturday afternoon check-ins!). A little planning – even scheduling a pick-up order for the morning after you arrive – can save you a lot of vacation time. After all, the goal is to spend more time on 30A’s beautiful beaches and less time in supermarket lines!
