Of course, the community pools are clean, beautiful, and huge! But they’re over there, and you and your crew are right here, in a really nice Oversee beach home. But a private heated pool? It just may cause you to raise your hands in the air, and proclaim quietly, to yourself, “My pool is warmer than your pool.” Oh, sure, there may be a fee for the electricity, but imagine skipping your morning shower and heading right for the warm water of a private po— Ok, skip that part about not showering. Pools are beyond versatile. They’re people pleasers, tie-breakers, fun magnets, and with no apologies. Yes, a private pool is so ‘all things to everybody’, that even teens love pools. Especially private pools, which have been known to coax young people to go on otherwise “boring” vacations. Teens will readily, without any nudge of the slightest, gaze at a phone, or magazine, or an app/magazine, for hours, while getting a tan, poolside. Another satisfied teen, a girl from Minnesota, was recently seen reading a book, poolside. After shopping, a teen can refresh with a splash in a private pool. Also, not everyone in your group may be comfortable swimming in open bodies of water (the gulf). Plus, a pool is great for anyone who doesn’t feel like heading out, a pool is ideal for something fun and relaxing to do while others venture out to explore 30A.

La Mer-Athon is wonderful and charming, inside and out back. With Blue Mountain Beach beach-access just a few steps away (423, to be exact), and shops and eateries within biking distance, take advantage of the six-passenger golf cart and three bikes. The private pool (optional heat) is at the center of a very unique space. The backyard oasis includes a spacious pool house, a hanging day bed, a fire pit with seating for four, a Delta Heat grill, refrigerator, and large TV.

Casa Playa is a cozy getaway in Seagrove Beach, with a cozy backyard oasis. Lounge and dine around your private pool (optional heat), and enjoy the completely enclosed outdoor shower, screened-in porch, and natural landscape. Inside, the 2 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms are on separate floors of the home with separate exterior entrances. There is no interior staircase connecting the floors. This setup works well for two couples, or a family with grandparents, or older kids who want to stay together while retaining some privacy.
