Ladies Tennis Team Challenge: Level 7.5 & Level 8.5

The Team Challenge offers a unique blend of quality tennis and a memorable beach vacation. This series of team tennis events caters to women of various skill levels, using the NTRP system. Each Ladies Team Challenge weekend features a minimum of six teams, with each team consisting of at least six ladies, forming three doubles teams. The format is a round-robin, where teams compete against others throughout the weekend. The challenge includes two matches on both Friday and Saturday, culminating in top qualifying matches on Sunday morning. The Sandestin Ladies Team Challenge Package includes participation from teams across the Southeast, room accommodations, and a continental breakfast daily. Participants also enjoy a tournament luncheon on Friday, exciting matches throughout the weekend, and discounts at Sandestin’s Tennis Shop. The package also covers team photos, a tournament raffle, and prizes/awards for winners and finalists. Additionally, the winning team receives a complimentary three-bedroom, three-bath condo to defend their title the following year. The 2025 Ladies Team Challenge dates are as follows: April 25-27 for Level 4.5 and Level 7.5 Combo Event (4.0 & 3.5); September 12-14 for Level 4.0; October 3-5 for Level 3.0 and Level 8.5 Combo Event (4.5 & 4.0); October 17-19 for Level 7.5 Combo Event (4.0 & 3.5) and Level 8.5 Combo Event (4.5 & 4.0); and November 7-9 for Level 3.5. Team spots are filling up quickly. Motion Experience

Motion Experience is an annual retreat for students in 8th through 12th grade, designed for them to grow in their faith. This year's theme is "ALL IN," inspired by 1 Peter 1:15-16, which encourages being holy and set apart for God's glory. The retreat aims to help students embrace being different and go against worldly norms. Throughout the weekend, students will engage in small group discussions with peers and leaders, attend powerful messages, participate in transformative worship, and compete in exciting Tribe Wars. The retreat is for 8th – 12th grade students and will take place from October 17th- 19th, 2025, at Laguna Beach Christian Retreat in Panama City Beach, Florida. The cost is $125 and will not increase.
Weekend Morning Rooftop Poolside Pilates

Intro to Wheel Throwing

The pottery instructor, Jaweria Rizvi, is offering a five-week course focusing on the foundational skills of wheel throwing. Participants will learn how to wedge clay, the basics of throwing, glazing tips and techniques, and how to use various studio tools. A 25 lb bag of clay is included in the class. Upon completion of the course, participants will be eligible to use the open studio for wheel throwing. Further details on open studio access are available upon request. The course consists of six classes total, each running from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. The first week includes two back-to-back classes on Tuesday, September 23, and Wednesday, September 24. Subsequent weekly classes will be held only on Tuesdays: September 30, October 7, October 14, and October 21. The sign-up deadline is Sunday, September 21. This course is open to individuals aged 18 and up. The cost is $290 for members and $300 for non-members. Regarding the refund policy, the Center for the Arts states that all classes, workshops, and series are non-refundable. Refunds are typically issued only in cases of unforeseen circumstances involving the instructor or facility. If a participant cancels due to illness, a partial refund, excluding instructor fees for the missed sessions, may be provided at the discretion of the Center for the Arts. The Center for the Arts will contact participants if a refund is to be issued and provide any necessary instructions. Orders start at 5:30 PM CST, with service beginning at 7 PM CST on a first-come, first-served basis. Chef Joyce developed her renowned paella recipe in Spain, and she has refined it over the years to infuse it with a distinctive panhandle flavor. Her innovative use of chorizo instead of traditional sausage provides an extra spicy kick, making this dish particularly suitable for those who appreciate bold flavors. North Beach Social customers can place their paella orders at the counter and receive a ticket. When service commences, customers can collect their plates at the designated paella stand. Farm & Fire patrons have the option to order at their table or at the bar, with the paella being delivered directly to their table.

The Red Bar Jazz Band performs on stage during dinner from Tuesday through Saturday, 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM. The Team Challenge offers a unique blend of quality tennis and a memorable beach vacation. This series of team tennis events caters to women of various skill levels, using the NTRP system. The course consists of six classes total, each running from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. The first week includes two back-to-back classes on Tuesday, September 23, and Wednesday, September 24. Subsequent weekly classes will be held only on Tuesdays: September 30, October 7, October 14, and October 21. The sign-up deadline is Sunday, September 21.
This course is open to individuals aged 18 and up. The cost is $290 for members and $300 for non-members.

Emerald Coast Theatre Company (ECTC) continues its 13th season with Tennessee Williams’ The Glass Menagerie, running from October 23 to November 2 at ECTC’s stage in Grand Boulevard Town Center. This acclaimed play features Amanda Wingfield, a former Southern belle who grapples with her past while striving for a better future for her children, Tom and Laura. Tom longs for freedom, while Laura is shy and seeks connection. The arrival of a “gentleman caller” destabilizes their lives.
ECTC Producing Artistic Director Nathanael Fisher notes that The Glass Menagerie remains relevant due to its universal themes of family, memory, and the pursuit of dreams. Performances are scheduled for Thursdays-Saturdays at 7:00 p.m., and Sundays and Wednesdays at 2:00 p.m., at ECTC’s intimate theatre on 560 Grand Boulevard, Suite 200. Patrons can enjoy pre-show drinks and local artwork in the lobby.
Nathanael Fisher directs the production, with Rebeca Lake handling Set & Lighting Design, Taylor Walker on Costume Design, Cailey Mize for Sound Design/Engineering/Stage Management, Carl Hendin for Set Carpentry, Ora Wolfgram as Properties & Assistant Stage Manager, and Bella Fisher as Production Assistant. The cast includes Anita ‘Jo’ Lenhart as Amanda Wingfield, Cara Chesney as Laura Wingfield, Tommy Thams as Tom Wingfield, and Logon Polson as Jim O’Connor.
