This five-week wheel throwing course teaches the foundational skills of pottery, including wedging clay, basic throwing techniques, glazing tips, and tool usage. On October 16th, the film "Hocus Pocus" will be shown. The story follows a teenager who accidentally frees a coven of evil witches who once lived in the house. With the help of a magical cat, the children must steal the witches' book of spells to prevent them from becoming immortal. The film stars Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy. The Walton County Fair is set to celebrate 101 years of community, agriculture, and family-friendly fun from October 13-18, 2025. The Fore Her Breast Cancer Support Group was founded by Amy Walsh a year ago to provide an environment for women to discuss their experiences, fears, concerns, and needs while Fore Her offers resources. The group is open to anyone affected by breast cancer. Amy Walsh, founder of Fore Her, initially stated that the goal was to bring breast cancer patients and survivors together to talk about their experiences, give advice, listen, and learn about more resources in the area that offer help and hope. The group continues to meet on the third Saturday of each month at the Coastal Branch Library in Santa Rosa Beach at 9:00 AM. Resource pamphlets and books, both autobiographical and self-help inspirational, are offered free of charge. Breast cancer patients share their stories of diagnosis with an empathetic audience, and treatments, from surgery to radiation to chemotherapy to long-term medications, are discussed.
