In 1991, Carillon Beach was designed as a luxury resort community with a New Urbanist layout similar to Seaside (but well before Seaside!) Lloyd Vogt, a renowned New Orleans architect, was engaged to develop the town plan. His love of historical preservation coupled with his knowledge of traditional urbanism formed the foundation of what Carillon has become today. Thank you, Mr. Vogt. Well done!
