Six years ago, the Harbor Rats decided to make a positive impact on their supporting community, leading to the creation of the Harbor Rats Charitable Foundation Golf Tournament. After reviewing multiple charitable organizations, the Sandestin Foundation for Kids (SDFK) was chosen. As the foundation grew, they added Alaqua Animal Refuge, a no-kill animal shelter with the motto: Shelter, Safety & Second Chances. At their sixth event in 2024, they successfully raised $60,000 for SDFK and Alaqua, and they hope to expand their foundation’s reach within the community with continued support.
