The home was beautiful and spacious. The wraparound porch with swing, kitchen, and reading nook were standouts. They had lots of books, puzzles and games for the whole family. The location can’t be beat if you have the ability to drive to the close by beach. It’s a little far to walk if you have a wagon or lots of amenities though. The house is right across the street from the pool! The location is perfectly positioned between Seaside and Rosemary and Alys beaches so it is great to be able to drive a short way to some fabulous restaurants. You could also walk a half hour to Seaside or bike because parking there is challenging and expensive. Be aware that the rental company only provides a starter kit and otherwise the house is pretty much empty so be sure to bring toiletries and kitchen/cleaning supplies. The kitchen had cooking utensils, plates, pots and pans. It was great to have a washing machine/dryer.
They did have beach chairs and an umbrella and two bikes were provided.

Without hesitation 5 stars across all categories! We loved this spot in the neighborhood. There are neighbors and it’s across from a pool (a concern I had), but it’s VERY peaceful and quiet. There’s a strip of land with trees and no houses adjacent to the house, and the house is more set back than some. Really loved the setting. And a lovely walk to the beach – maybe 12 min. Good place for frisbee, throwing a ball and bikes on the street because it is less traveled. The rental company immediately set up very convenient and open communication through text. They were super friendly and accommodating without being overwhelming.Loved the flow of the house. My husband and I even commented that we would want to own a house like this. We used the office for a sleeping space for our 9 year old. There is also a chaise in the main floor master that would accommodate a small child. Put the teens in the two bedrooms and one bath on the 2nd floor. Wonderful vacation!

We had a wonderful stay at Hakuna Matata. The kitchen was beautiful with high end appliances. The house had 2 adult bikes, beach chairs/umbrellas, beach toys. The neighborhood is peaceful which is nice in such a busy area. Bikeable to downtown Seaside. Would recommend and hope to come again!

Great quiet location and really close to Seaside. The pool was clean with good furniture. The house had everything we needed—even hangers in the closet!!! We had some small plumbing issues and were resolved quickly, no issues at all. Would definitely stay there again.

We shared the Hakuna Matata with another couple. We were so delighted when we arrived to find that it was very close to the beach. We did drive each day, but we could have easily have biked to the beach. The home was lovely and the couch was so comfortable. We enjoyed cooking in the evenings and even using the grill. The bedrooms were very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this rental!

This was a great get away and relax week in February. Although not tropical conditions the weather was fair and got us away from the Cincinnati winter. The house was great. Very clean and well appointed. Everything was there we needed. Location in quiet Seagrove neighborhood was easily accessible to everything the area had to offer by bicycle. Would definitely recommend and may be returning.

My husband and I stayed at Oversee’s Hakuna Matata for our honeymoon and we absolutely loved it. The house was spotless, well decorated, and had everything we needed. The photos do not do this place justice. We loved the open concept of the house and especially loved the big screened in porch. The neighborhood was quiet and adorable and we enjoyed many walks and golf carts rides. We also took advantage of the bikes almost daily, which was so much fun. We have talked about coming back next year and renting Hakuna Matata again. It was a perfect spot for us.

We have not been to SeaGrove Beach before and rented Hakuna Matata. I can’t say enough good things about this beautiful property! The pictures don’t even give it justice and it was immaculate! .5 miles from the beach, 1 mile from Seaside. Perfect location. The kitchen has all of the things you will need, perfectly stocked. The bikes are in great condition, the screened in porch was fabulous! We would totally rent again! Loved it all!!
