Welcome to A Hasty Retreat, a spacious and soothing cottage just 200 steps from the beach! The wonderful house overlooks Eastern Lake and rests next to the oldest and largest stand of magnolia trees in the area. The rare, pristine dune lake connects to the Gulf!
Paddleboard from the dock directly to the white sandy beach. Or fish, boat, or swim. This is truly a unique 30A gem.
The cottage offers a breathtaking view of sunrise on the lake, where the shallow waters invite kids of all ages to swim, play, and paddle.
Newly renovated, A Hasty Retreat features an updated kitchen with an open living and dining area, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, all with a modern, lush, whimsical vibe. The upstairs bedroom has an outstanding view. See the pics!
The retreat has three decks – one with a lake and Gulf view, perfect for sunbathing, al fresco dining, and stunning vistas of moonlight on the lake. The lower patio deck offers a lake view with a picnic table and swing, excellent for a nap or relaxing with a good book. The third deck is a great place to enjoy the shade of the beautiful magnolia trees.
Oh! Almost forgot about the complimentary golf cart and two bicycles! It doesn’t get much better than this.

What a great beach trip at The Hasty Retreat in Seagrove Beach. Oversee 30A was great to work with – very proactive, responsive, professional- from taking the reservation , providing confirmations to advanced emails and great follow up. We do beach rentals a lot and this team was by far the best to work with. Great welcome pack and amenities topped it off for us! We’d definitely use them again!

We ended up in this home due to a poor rental experience elsewhere. The management team was AMAZING! They took such wonderful care of us. The house was clean and plenty large enough for our family of four. The golf cart has seen better days, but we still enjoyed taking it for a spin on a couple of occasions. This house was easy walking distance to the beach (although walking through the lake was cold, it didn’t bother my husband or girls though). We were within close distance to restaurants and shopping.

This was a great place and we would definitely go back. One recommendation would be for black out curtains in the bedroom that overlooks the lake. The sun was very bright early in the morning. Also the adjustable seat device on both bikes was rusted and we were not able to adjust it. But we were still able to use them. Overall a great place to stay.

A group of us (ladies) came in for the Seaside Half Marathon and made a training weekend of it. The house is darling, and location is perfect right on the lake where we took advantage of a few open water swims. The beds are super comfortable and seating was plenty for our group of 6 adults. Morning coffee, breakfast and lunch on the deck were amazing, and it’s a short walk (or swim) to the beach! I have been staying on 30A and Eastern Lake since 1995, and this was my favorite spot yet!!

Perfect house for a family. The house is older but well maintained. The home has a new private dock, golf cart, and gas grill. The lake location allows you to rent and keep a kayak or canoe at the dock and then use it to haul your gear to the beach. The golf cart is street legal and can get you to some great restaurants.

Well maintained lake cottage. Attention to little details,loved having the golf cart to explore the neighborhood,…great cookware, comfy beds & nice sheets, initial toiletries, sufficient towels. Love the sunrises over the lake & short paddle to the beach. First time staying at this rental, but hopefully not the last…..
