The group was founded by Amy Walsh a year ago with the goal of creating an environment for women to discuss their experiences, fears, concerns, and needs while Fore Her offers resources. The group continues to meet at the Coastal Branch Library in Santa Rosa Beach at 9:00 a.m. Resource pamphlets and books, including autobiographic and self-help/inspirational titles, are provided free of charge. Attendees share their stories of diagnosis and discuss various treatments such as surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, and long-term medications, fostering supportive friendships with empathy, hugs, and tears.

The Coastal Library Journal Writing Group meets on Mondays at 11:30 am, inviting participants to bring their journals and pens. No prior writing experience is necessary, only a willingness to attend with an open heart. Journaling is presented as a gift leading to authentic self-love, and the group welcomes both beginners and experienced writers.
