Miramar Beach, Florida, is set to host the 23rd Annual Emerald Coast Blue Marlin Classic (ECBC) at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort from June 18–22, 2025. This event is renowned as one of the most exciting big-game fishing tournaments globally, offering high-stakes sportfishing, family-friendly activities, and vibrant summer energy in Northwest Florida. Tournament Director Jason Draughn expressed gratitude to sponsors and teams, including South Walton, Pelagic, Galati Yacht Sales, and MarineMax, for making the event a summertime tradition. The tournament features over $2 million in cash and prizes, attracting top-tier teams from the Gulf Coast and beyond. John-Mark Gleadow
John-Mark Gleadow, an artist from Delaware, graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting from the University of Delaware in 1998. He has been a full-time artist since then. Before college, his only formal art training was in elementary school art classes. Initially nominated to attend West Point in 1994, he chose to study Mechanical Engineering at the University of Delaware. However, his passion for design led him to switch to a career in art. Although he considered Graphic Design, he ultimately majored in painting after excelling in an introductory painting class, where his final project was sold in a Washington, D.C. gallery.
Gleadow’s early artistic influences included Rene Magritte, Salvador Dali, and Vermeer. He admired technical proficiency in oil painting combined with original and surreal themes. His work often resembles photographs but depicts scenes that are impossible in reality, such as a portrait of a child appearing to emerge from a painted frame. His precise technique and imaginative subjects captivate viewers and bring a lifelike quality to his art.
Gleadow’s work is featured in numerous collections across the United States. In 2004, he received an Emerging Artist’s Grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts and won the Best Figurative Work award at the Rehoboth Art League’s Annual Member’s Fine Arts Show. In 2005, he was offered a Fellowship by the Savannah College of Art and Design to join their Masters of Fine Arts program.

John-Mark Gleadow
John-Mark Gleadow, an artist from Delaware, graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting from the University of Delaware in 1998. He has been a full-time artist since then. Before college, his only formal art training was in elementary school art classes. Initially nominated to attend West Point in 1994, he chose to study Mechanical Engineering at the University of Delaware. However, his passion for design led him to switch to a career in art. Although he considered Graphic Design, he ultimately majored in painting after excelling in an introductory painting class, where his final project was sold in a Washington, D.C. gallery.
Gleadow’s early artistic influences included Rene Magritte, Salvador Dali, and Vermeer. He admired technical proficiency in oil painting combined with original and surreal themes. His work often resembles photographs but depicts scenes that are impossible in reality, such as a portrait of a child appearing to emerge from a painted frame. His precise technique and imaginative subjects captivate viewers and bring a lifelike quality to his art.
Gleadow’s work is featured in numerous collections across the United States. In 2004, he received an Emerging Artist’s Grant from the Delaware Division of the Arts and won the Best Figurative Work award at the Rehoboth Art League’s Annual Member’s Fine Arts Show. In 2005, he was offered a Fellowship by the Savannah College of Art and Design to join their Masters of Fine Arts program.
