Words alone fail.
George’s claim of “regional coastal flair infused with global flavors” sounds fine. Completely adequate. But short of offering free samples through the internet, talking about greatness, instead of eating it, has its limitations.
Seriously? Is the food here that good? Well, I’m not here to offer any definitives, but, oh boy, these next-level dishes, all crafted using locally sourced organic produce, and the freshest seafood available, need more than just boorish, blog-writer descriptions. Actually tasting these delights is the only true path to “OMG. How did they do that?”
But show up early, please. With twists to Southern classics and internationally inspired fare, you’ll understand why putting your name down asap is imperative since they don’t take reservations. But all is good, you’re at George’s after all: Wait for your table on the rooftop viewing deck. Sip a cocktail.
And relish the beauty of Alys Beach. And George’s.
